[email protected]Research Summary
My research primarily focuses on understanding how people value ecosystem goods and services, the impact of attitudes and preferences on those values, and translating that information to inform policy decisions. Methodologically, I use survey-based data collection methods, non-market valuation methods, econometric methods, bioeconomic modeling, and legal analysis. In regards to invasive species, my research aims at understanding the impact of attitudes and preferences of managing and controlling them as well as the economic value of their prevention, control and eradication alternatives. I also study the legal basis for their regulatory control at both, federal and State levels. I am a co-founder of the University of Florida Emerging Threats to Forests Research Team.Current projects
