Summary…

Add Mandelshtam’s email to the list (probably as a separate, ‘expected’ list)

Check for representatives of:

Micracidini
Cactopinini (Ask Bjartem and look through our dbs)
Hypoborini (not Hylurgopini)
Ambrosial Scolytodes
-unipunctatus (and more)
Sueus species
Corthylini (list genera available)
Pityopthorus
Pityoborus comatus
Crypturgini (list genera available)
Non-mbrosial Scolytin: Scolytus
Ambrosial Scolytini: Camptocerus
Ipini- all 3 clades
Carphoborus
Strombophorus (Ask Bjarte)
Araptus or Dendroterus

I need to
Check though database choosing likely identified, likely high quality representatives of the above taxa, add them to the list.
-Maybe await what Sarah smith and Anthony have from vietnam or south america.
-suggest specimens to ask Bjarte to bring (but dont email yet)

Also (not discussed)
-check through katkas samples to get:

– get to Archbold
– plan a trip to Austin
– make and updated list of Cryphalini classification
– measure the amount of DNA in a single individual of a small cryphaline (use OmniPrep, MoBio, Qiagen, and Ex-n-Amp to compare).
– assemble all sequences currently available for Cryphalini (GenBank, BOLD, Jordal, Cognato)
